Ascend Bank Welcomes Two Experienced Commercial Lending Professionals

Ascend Bank is pleased to announce the addition of two seasoned commercial lending professionals, Dawn Sandvoss and John-Paul (JP) Aldi, who have joined the bank as Vice Presidents and Commercial Loan Officers. Their combined expertise further strengthens Ascend Bank’s commitment to providing customized financing solutions and exceptional service to businesses throughout the region. 

Dawn Sandvoss brings more than 20 years of commercial lending experience to Ascend Bank. Most recently, she served as a Commercial Lender with Chelsea Groton Bank, where she spent the past six years helping local businesses achieve their growth objectives through tailored financing solutions. 

Sandvoss attended the University of Hartford and is actively involved in the community, serving as a board member of the Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region (seCTer). Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for developing strong client relationships and delivering strategic financial guidance to businesses across a variety of industries. 

John-Paul (JP) Aldi joins Ascend Bank from Liberty Bank, where he served as Vice President and specialized in commercial real estate lending transactions spanning markets from Delaware to Massachusetts. He brings extensive expertise in commercial mortgage structuring, underwriting, and CRE valuation. 

Aldi’s strong background in complex commercial real estate financing and structured lending solutions will further enhance Ascend Bank’s ability to serve the evolving needs of business clients throughout its footprint.
